Information Design: Solar system

While many solar-system infographics are informative, very few manage to also work as stand-alone art pieces. My objective was to create a concept map of the solar system that was both informative and aesthetically pleasing enough to serve as a decorative poster. The target audience is interested in design—they are people who like to have visually intriguing imagery on their walls and are potentially a collector of poster art. The purpose of the design was to maintain an aesthetically pleasing image without neglecting the necessary information to understand the solar system's arrangement. The design required modern traits for this target market, but mid-century modern inspiration could be incorporated.
